Everyone at Stonly is closely following the unjustified invasion of Ukraine. We stand strongly against this violence and the attack on innocent people. We are saddened that so many have been forced to fight and forced to flee their homes. At the same time, we deeply believe that peace will be restored in Ukraine.

We’re lucky and proud to have great and talented team members from Ukraine, so we see and feel the impact, personally. Our first priorities are providing necessary support to these team members and their families and supporting all the people suffering from the war. One of our core values at Stonly is care which reminds us about the shared responsibility to each other, and, now, care is needed more than ever.

One of our largest offices is located in Poland, so we have seen, first hand, the tremendous help coming from Polish people and companies. And we constantly work to support refugees fleeing war and looking for shelter.

If you are close to Ukraine or have a business in the region, you may share in helping, as well.

Individual Contributions

Here are some actions our team members are taking to provide help in meaningful ways:

Sharing homes:

Collecting food, clothes, and medicine:

  • The list of the locations in Kraków is here.

Volunteering:

Rescuing abandoned animals:

  • Reach out here or here to see how you can help.
  • Helping refugees at the border to get to their designated destinations:
  • Reach out to the following email address: transport.ukraina@muw.pl

Donation

For those who cannot act directly in Poland, you can organize a donation match program at your company. The way ours worked was that the company doubled the donation amount of the employees. Employees were free to donate to the organization of their choice, but, as a company, we decided to support PAH (Polish Humanitarian Action), which provides humanitarian aid to all the people affected by the war in Ukraine.

Hiring

Hiring people from Ukraine and helping with all the necessary paperwork can help them find a more stable situation. Be vocal about your roles and deliberate about your search for Ukraine talent, and make sure to search local job boards, as well.

We’re happy to speak with international companies on the best ways to help. At Stonly, we were always grateful for the commitment of our current Ukrainian team members, and we’ll be glad to welcome new candidates to join us and contribute to the culture we build.
