Insights Glossary

Views

Each time someone opens a published guide, it's counted as a view.

Billable views

In Insights, views are divided into member views and external (billable) views.

Number of billable views influences your plan's price. We explain how they're calculated in the next step.

Sessions

A session starts when a user views a guide and ends after 15 minutes of inactivity. A single session can include multiple views.

Session duration

Time between the beginning of the session and the user's last recorded activity.

Bounce rate

It's the percentage of bounced sessions. A session is considered bounced when no guide interaction occurred.

Sessions where no guide interaction is possible (single step guides without links, files, or inputs) are excluded from the bounce rate.

How are views calculated?

Every time a visitor opens a guide, it counts as a view. This applies to standalone guides, as well as guides in knowledge bases, and launched in the widget.

Navigation within a guide (for example progressing to a next step or submitting a contact form) doesn't count as a separate view. Closing and reopening it does.

Only external views are considered billable. When a logged in member of your Stonly team views a guide, it's not counted towards the monthly view limit included in your pricing plan.
