Example Excel Sheet for uploading historical data

This page describes an excel sheet that indicates how you can supply new data for a site or inverter.

The sheet must contain the following columns:

one column with header "ID" which indicates the ID of the installation or inverter for which a data point should be added. The ID of an installation or inverter can be found via the column "ID" in the overview of the installations (hidden by default, but you can check this box), or the column "ID" in the overview of the inverters under an installation (idem: Hidden by default, but can be checked). We use these IDs because they are guaranteed to be unique, unlike fields that you can fill in yourself and where confusion can arise if such a field has the same value for several devices. An ID prevents confusion. Example: For the Test site, we have the following IDs for the inverters (see image)

one column with a header "time" indicating the time of the data point to be added. This data point is formatted as one of the following formats:

1) "YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MMZ" (bv: "2022-02-01T08:00:00"): This format specifies year, month, day, hour and minute and second in a specified time zone
2) "YYYY-MM-DD" (bv: "2022-02-01T08:00"): This format specifies year, month and day (at 00:00:00) in a specified time zone

If one of the two above columns is not found, the file will not be processed. Rows for which one of these values is not entered or is invalid will be ignored.

You may also provide the following columns:

one column with header "timezone": the time zone in which the time should be interpreted. You can choose any "TZ database name" specified via: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tz_database_time_zones . The only options that matter to you may be "Europe/Amsterdam" and "UTC". If this column is generally unspecified, or is unspecified for a particular row, then the time for the corresponding data point is interpreted as being in "UTC"
one column with header "actualPower_W": The power of the entity in Watts for the specified time. This is shown in the dashboard in the graph power, normalized power, etc. The values in these columns are passed as decimal numbers, with a "." to separate the fractional and integer part, with no commas or spaces between groups of three digits. So: "15000.001" is ok, but "15 000.001" or "15000.001" is not ok.
one column with header "energyDelta_Wh": The energy produced by the entity in Wh between the specified time and the last previous time for which there is an energyDelta in our database. The system always assumes that the specified energy is produced in a constant power manner over the resulting interval. This is shown in the dashboard in the energy related bar charts and heat maps. The values in these columns are passed as decimal numbers, with a "." to separate the fractional and integer part, with no commas or spaces between groups of three digits. So: "15000.001" is ok, but "15 000.001" or "15000.001" is not ok.

Note that for a consistent display, you may want to include both actualPower_W and energyDelta_Wh data in the system.

Optional

Furthermore, there are optional columns:

For voltages you can use the following columns as needed and available (all in Volts, as the name suggests): "voltage_V" or for a three-phase system: "voltageL1L2_V", "voltageL1L3_V" and "voltageL2L3_V". If there are voltage differences with a neutral conductor in a three-phase system, you also have "voltageL1N_V", "voltageL2N_V" and "voltageL3N_V" available.
For current you have the following columns available (all in Amps): "current_A", or for a three-phase system: "currentL1_A", "currentL2_A" and "currentL3_A".
For temperature there is the following column (in Celsius this time, not in Kelvin): "temperature_C"
