Scenario
You want to ensure you are on the latest version of the Add-in, this may be for reasons such as:
- You installed the Exclaimer Outlook Add-in prior to August 16th 2023, and would like to update the app to support Outlook for Android and iOS.
- You have been advised by support to upgrade for troubleshooting purposes.
Resolution
Updating the Outlook Add-in requires a user with admin permissions.
To update the Outlook Add-in as an admin:
- Log in to the Microsoft 365 admin center using your admin credentials.
- Select Show all in the menu pane.
- Expand Settings, then select Integrated apps.
The Integrated apps page is displayed.
- Select Add-ins on top.
The Add-ins page is displayed.
- The Outlook Add-in is displayed as Exclaimer for Outlook. If an update is available, the app Status will be listed as 'Updates pending' or 'Updates waiting for your approval'.
- Select Exclaimer for Outlook to bring up the app flyout.
- Select Update from the alert strip. This opens the Update screen, which contains the app information.
- Select your options and Save the changes made. This will apply the update to the Outlook Add-in.
