If there is a corner where two joints meet such as a corner formed by two walls, start there. Otherwise, if caulking an area like a sink, start in the most difficult to reach location.
With the long point of the tip’s 45-degree angle facing up, place the tip against the center of the joint while holding the gun at a 45-degree angle.
Apply moderate pressure to the trigger until caulking starts to dispense, then start dragging the tip along the joint.
Continue applying a bead down the full length of the joint until you reach the opposite end.
