Want to return something to the seller? We’ve got a bunch of tips just for you! Here are 6 (super easy 😉) steps to follow.

📸 1 - Show them that your item is in the same condition as when you bought it

Send 7 photos to the seller (including 1 of each side + 1 with the screen on) in order to protect yourself in case of a dispute.

ℹ 2- Save your data!

The seller will do a series of tests and may even completely restore your item.

So, whether you’re returning something for repair or withdrawal, you should always back up your device’s data and then remove it.

🔓 3- Disable your user account and the location feature

You’ll have to do this for all smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, and MacBooks. Our experts have put together a guide to help you:

📝 4- Label your package

Inside, include a sheet of paper with “Back Market” written on it and:

- Your order number

- The reason for the return (e.g. “return for repair/ withdrawal”)

📦 5- Pack your device securely

  1. Store the device and its accessories in a sturdy box

  2. Put the box in an unbroken cardboard and stuff it with bubble wrap or newspaper to keep the box secure

  3. Protect all the uncovered sides so that the package is sealed

  4. Tape the return slip to the package, keeping the barcode visible
