To determine if a contact is an existing contact, DonorDock uses one of the following fields. If none of these four scenarios are met, a new contact is created.

⭐ Donor ID

⭐ Account Number

⭐ First Name, Last Name and Email

⭐ First Name, Last Name, and First line of Address

When adding new contacts in an import, at least 1 of the following fields is required:

⭐ Account Number

⭐ Company/Household Name

⭐ First Name

⭐ Last Name

If all 4 of these fields are blank on the document you are importing, the import process will skip the row in question with the incomplete data and move on to the next row in your document. When an import has been completed, you may scroll all the way over the to the right and click on errors to see any rows that might have been skipped due to incomplete data.

When creating new gifts in an import, the following fields are required:
