The Advanced Electronic Signature is the second level of electronic signature, as defined by the European eIDAS regulation.

Create a signature request with Advanced Electronic Signature (AES)

Creating a signature request with Advanced Electronic Signature follows the same creation process as a 'classic' signature request, with some differences.

When preparing your document, you will need to follow the additional conditions:

  • Add signers and provide their phone numbers,

  • Make sure to verify the accuracy of your signer's information (first names, last names, phone numbers) to facilitate their identification.

During the setup of your invitation to sign, at the "Set security level" step, you must:

  • Select the "Advanced eSignature" level

  • Automatically, the authentication method with an "SMS security code" will be selected.

Note: The deduction of your Advanced Electronic Signature credits is done per invited signer. Each credit is deducted per signer when you click "Send."

Distinguish the signature level by signer

You can differentiate the signature level by signer when sending your signature request.

During the setup of your invitation to sign with multiple signers, at the "Set security level" step, you must:

  • Click on "Define a security lever for each signer,"

  • Select the signature level and desired authentication method from the dropdown menu for each signer.
