Go to Settings > Fraud Filter to view the current rule sets as well as setup new ones.

All merchant accounts are created with a default rule set that flags payments with a fraud score above 50 as possible fraud.

It is possible to filter payments by the following rules:

Actions

You can take the following actions for payments that trigger a given rule set:

Mark as possible fraud: Payments will be flagged in our system with Possible fraud and can now manually be assessed.
Force 3-D Secure: Automatically force the payment through 3-D Secure.
Block payment: The payment is blocked.

You may also set the action to Nothing if you wish to disable the rule for a period of time.

Fraud score

All payments through Unzer Direct are analyzed by a system that looks at different parameters and then assigns a fraud score between 0 and 100.

By default, all payments with a score above 50 are marked as possbile fraud.

The fraud score looks at the following parameters:

Amount both of the transaction and the total amount on the card within the last 24 hours
Amount of transactions on the card or IP within a given period
Issuer country and cardholder country

Each transaction is also compared to previous transactions that were confirmed as fraudulent by other merchants.

Please note that all payments above 300 EUR automatically receive a fraud score of 100.

Rules

Amount: Payment amount in EUR

Card country: The country where the card was issued

Request IP Country: The country where the card is being used

Examples

The following section contains a few examples of rule sets.

Payments from outside Denmark, Sweden, and Norway with an amount above 1000 DKK require 3-D Secure.

Payments made in Denmark or in a country other than the issuing country are blocked.
