Heygo’s mission is to create a world where everyone can explore new places and meet new people, from anywhere. We all want to connect with others and with so many forces driving the world apart, we want to be a force that brings the world closer together. The Heygo community is what we make of it together and operates by a shared set of values and guidelines that apply to all the places that Heygo oversees.

1 - Treat everyone with respect

As diversity and inclusivity are fundamental to Heygo’s core beliefs and values, we welcome people from all ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, socio-economic classes, religions, disabilities, and ages.

Our commitment to diversity and inclusivity is reflected in our duty to make reasonable adjustments to accommodate people with diverse needs, and in our efforts to cultivate diverse, inclusive, and equitable communities where all voices and experiences are welcomed and heard.

By participating on Heygo and any Heygo related communities, we expect all users to uphold these values and to treat others with kindness, respect, and dignity.

a- Do not threaten, discriminate, or bully

Heygo is a place for creating community and belonging.

Everyone has a right to use Heygo free of discrimination, bullying, and threats that might shut someone out of the conversation through intimidation or abuse. Menacing someone, directing abuse at a person or group, encouraging others to do any of these actions, or otherwise behaving in a way that would discourage a reasonable person from participating on Heygo is not allowed.

b- Do not harass

Unwelcome attention that makes a person feel objectified or in a hostile environment is harassment. This can include but are not limited to:

  • Repeated and unwanted communication

  • Targeted and repeated jokes that the recipient finds offensive in nature

  • Excessive commenting on someone’s physical abilities or appearance

The above includes any comments made during a tour in-chat, those left in reviews, as well as on any Heygo community platforms.

2- Do not spam on Heygo platforms

We define spam as repeated, unwanted, and/or unsolicited actions, whether automated or manual, that negatively affect Heygo users, Heygo communities, and/or Heygo itself.

The following are examples of behavior that may be considered spam:

  • Sending large amounts of unsolicited messages to users who are not expecting them

  • Repeatedly posting the same or similar unwanted comments on an in-tour chat or across Heygo community platforms

  • Repeatedly posting unrelated/off-topic comments/content

These guidelines will be monitored by the Heygo admins. We ask that you follow not just the letter of these guidelines, but the spirit as well. Users who disregard the community guidelines will first be given a warning for a chance to change their behaviour - and if they fail to respond their account will be temporarily banned on Heygo until further review. Extreme breaches of these guidelines may result in an indefinite suspension of your account even on the first offense.

Thanks for your cooperation and support - let’s make Heygo a safe and enjoyable place for everyone 🚀

Off- Platform Conduct

Heygo is committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels comfortable and able to enjoy the magic of Heygo. As the safety of our guides and users is our top priority, Heygo reserves the right to investigate and take actions against severe offenses committed by members of the Heygo community that occur outside of the Heygo platform but which in Heygo's sole view can have an adverse impact on the Hyego platform.

Although we are not required to and we may not be in a position to investigate or act on all interactions that happen off-platform, we reserve the right to investigate reports that include verifiable evidence of offenses that include but are not limited to:

  • Hate or terrorist group membership

  • Non consensual and unsolicited sexual conduct, or cases of sexual assault

  • Financial criminal activities such as fraud

Guide-Specific Policies

Locations, Times, and Topics

Every guide is welcome to schedule and host tours anytime, anywhere, on any reasonable topic as long as it adheres to Community Guidelines.

Shaming

Any type of public or private shaming of a guide based on when they schedule and how they present their tours, whether done during a tour, in a review, any space managed by Heygo, including the Heygo Voyagers Facebook Group, or privately - will not be tolerated and is a violation of our terms of service subject to disciplinary action.

Profanity and Sensitive Content

To ensure the right expectations are set for audiences prior to joining your tour, disclaimers may be applied to tours or channel to address the use of profanity, content that involves animals and/or minors, and other potential sensitive areas.
