How do I calculate my earnings?
Tradesy's commission is 19.8% on items $50 or more and a $7.50 flat rate on items under $50. Earnings are calculated differently depending on your chosen shipping method and whether or not a Tradesy Sale or Promotion was applied to your item. Continue reading for how to calculate your earnings.
When you list on Tradesy, you set your own price for your item - and pre select one of three convenient shipping methods. You'll then review your earnings breakdown, with all fees deducted, before you publish your listing.

Ship using a Tradesy Shipping Kit or prepaid shipping label
When you pre select either of these shipping options for your item, Tradesy adds our shipping cost to your item total. The buyer pays both this shipping cost plus your Selling Price.
Here's how your earnings are calculated:
- Selling Price: The price you set for your item.
- Shipping: The Kit or label cost.
- Listing Price: The total of Selling Price + Shipping.
- Tradesy Commission: This is based on the Selling Price.
- 19.8% on items $50 or more.
- $7.50 flat rate on items less than $50.
- Earnings:
- Withdraw Cash: Our 2.9% Safe Transfer Fee is deducted from your earnings if you transfer from Tradesy to your PayPal, debit card, or checking account.
- Spend on Tradesy: Earnings equal Selling Price minus Tradesy Commission. This is what you'll be able to use as cash on the site.
Ship using your own shipping
When you pre select this option for your item, you pad your earnings with the shipping cost you'll pay. The buyer pays both your out-of-pocket shipping expense plus your item price.

- Selling Price: The price you set for your item.
- Shipping: Your estimated out-of-pocket shipping expense.
- Listing Price: The total of Selling Price + Shipping.
- Tradesy Commission: This is based on the Listing Price.

Sell during a Tradesy sale or promotion
Your listings are not included in any Tradesy Sales or Promotions unless or until you opt in from your Closet Settings. If you opt in, and your item sells during a sale or promotion event, your earnings will be based on the final discounted sale price - which we'll outline for you in your sale confirmation email.
