Hey! So I just read something about transgender kids playing school sports. I support equality, but I’m worried this isn’t fair to the non-transgender kids on the team. What do you think about this issue?

Trans kids should be on the teams they want to be on. It’s what all of the science says, so it’s only right to listen. We have to support equality, no ifs, ands or buts.
I understand why you might feel uncertain. For a long time, the media didn’t really pay attention to transgender people or transgender issues. This topic is pretty new for a lot of people.
[If you played sports as a kid] I definitely share your passion for girls sports and for making sure that everyone gets to participate fairly. I don’t know that we’ve ever talked about it - Did you play sports as a kid?
