🧭 STEP 1 — Understanding Scheduling Modes
If your scheduled charging isn’t starting as expected, don’t worry — we’ll help you check your setup.
The Cord app offers three charging modes:
- Intelligent Scheduling – automated, AI-powered charging
- Manual Scheduling – set your own start and end times (It can take up to 10 minutes after start time as per UK Regulation to have randomised delay)
- Instant Charge – starts charging immediately
If your schedule isn’t running, it’s often due to:
✅ Incorrect scheduling mode
✅ Missing tariff setup
✅ Outdated schedule preferences
✅ Smart Charging regulation delay (up to 10 mins)
✅ Switching between charging modes mid-session
✅ Cable lock setting
🔒 Cable Lock Setting
If your Cable Lock feature is set to “Off,” you’ll need to unplug the charging cable from both the charger and your vehicle each time you finish charging.
If Cable Lock is “On,” the charger will automatically secure the cable in place during the charging session, so you don’t need to remove it manually.
You can check or change your Cable Lock setting in the Cord App → Settings → Cable Lock.
🧩 Cable Lock for Untethered Units
Turn your charger into a tethered charger by locking your cable on the charger connector side.
To lock your cable:
Tap the [Settings] icon in the Cord app.
Toggle Lock “ON.”
Your cable will lock into place during the charging session.
Once your session has finished, you’ll see an option on the home screen to unlock your cable — simply tap Unlock Cable to release it.
