Having a supportive base/foundation under your Sealy mattress is crucial to the mattress performing as designed.

Here are some things to look out for:

The base should provide an even, solid surface for your mattress to lie on.
Check the base frame to make sure it isn’t damaged.
Slats or wooden frames: slats should be firm and evenly spaced; the gaps should be less wide than the slats themselves. Larger-size bases should have a supporting centre rail.
Flat ensemble base: ensure all the glides/castors are screwed in tightly and touching the floor simultaneously.
